Bicyclist Hit By Truck in San Francisco - June 15, 2010 - 16th & Capp Streets

A bicyclist was struck by a commercial truck today in San Francisco, at the intersection of Capp and 16th Streets. This intersection did not make it into
my list of dangerous intersections in the City, but it was obviously dangerous for the bicyclist injured there today. Accidents often happen in
intersections - and it can be tricky to determine who is at fault.
According to a post on SFGate, the bicyclist was
injured but conscious at the time he was taken from the scene of the accident. The truck was described only as a "white cargo truck." presumably, it is a commercial truck with a commercial liability policy. So if the
truck driver was negligent, the bicyclist ought to be able to recover.
