Pedestrian killed in Alameda by AC Transit identified as Sam Sause

Last week, I posted about a senior pedestrian who was killed by an AC Transit bus at the corner of Grand Street and Otis in Alameda. He has now been identified as Sam Sause, a long-time resident of Alameda. He was, according to his wife, wear reflective clothing and a flashing bracelet.

He was only two blocks from home at the time he was struck and killed by the AC Transit bus. This is a reminder to all drivers to look very carefully - especially in the rain or dark - for pedestrians. There have been a lot of pedestrian deaths latelty - and all were preventable - all of them.
